MY STORY

I live in a rad little town called Encinitas with my two kiddos. On Saturday mornings, we like to head over to the Leucadia Donut Shoppe where I’ll get my favorite (a maple bar, of course!) to go with fresh brewed coffee I bring from home. Tom, the owner, likes to jokingly call me “Mr. Mom,” which I take as a compliment. I practice yoga and rock climb pretty much every day and also love snowboarding, surfing, and camping whenever possible. I will probably always call Encinitas home, but there’s nothing I love more than getting to travel and experience the culture of a new place.

Ever since the first roll of 35mm film I shot as a child, I’ve loved photographing real interactions between people. I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Leeds School of Business, where I studied Finance in between snowboarding and backpacking trips. I was later working in Financial Advisory Services, being a very serious adult, when I realized that my passion for photography could lead to a legitimate career. I am so thankful for all the wonderful people who have entrusted me with capturing their biggest moments in life over the years, as it has been such an incredibly fulfilling journey with many priceless memories.

I believe that the truest magic happens when a photographer is able to capture authentic moments of connection between people. I love to try out new ideas, play around and not worry too much if things don't work out exactly as planned. Some of the most incredible things happen when you embrace the unexpected. My goal is to capture those perfectly imperfect times that make life so damn enjoyable!
